Fundraising
An update of contributions was recorded. Timing for the second fundraising letter was discussed and also for the newsletter.
Lake Management
– The next lake treatment is scheduled for July 22.
– The recent tropical storm dumped 2-3 inches of rain with high winds which tamps down algae and brings unwanted nutrients into the lake.
– In response to a question – Pond and Lake Connection together with MLIF use four communication channels before each lake treatment: newspaper, email blast, social media and the yellow paper signs posted around the lake.
– Aeration – P&L informed us that no lakes, even half the size of ours, have this system. They are used on ponds and much smaller lakes than ours.
