FINANCIALS
The year-end 2024 Profit & Loss and Balance sheets were reviewed by the Board.
2025 BUDGET
The 2025 Budget was reviewed and approved by the Board.
GRANTS
Grant applications were submitted in January for the following:
- Purchase and installation of a new spillway tarp
- Purchase of native plants and planting costs to hold soil at newly constructed dam.
Other grant opportunities continue to be explored.
LAKE MANAGEMENT
The first lake treatment by Pond & Lake Connection is scheduled for April.
DAM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
The preliminary engineering (many studies, surveys and reports) is complete. As of January 20, our project was filed with the CT DEEP, together with 12 attachments of reports and survey results. If the plans are in good shape with DEEP, Haley Ward will then send the plans to the Army Corps of Engineers. Haley-Ward is expecting construction to begin by Labor Day, although, it was noted that there are many reasons why things could be delayed.
A meeting was held with Rudy Marconi and Jake Muller on January 27 to update them on the project. The meeting was positive and helpful.
